Background / Experience
In 2014, Melanie transitioned into full time Certified High Performance Coach, course and content creator, and digital CEO Entrepreneur leading the way for others to strategically build their digital assets and profits. Prior that that, Melanie brings with her over 30 years of experience in accounting, finance, tax, audit, and business management. She works primarily with entrepreneurs to culminate their business concepts ‘from inception to fruition’. Her typical clients grow progressively from 2-3 employees with $1-2 million in gross revenues to 25+ employees and $10-$25+ million in revenues. She works with entrepreneurs to design and build in successful growth and exit strategies early on to ensure they can execute their plans with confidence. Melanie draws on her broad experience in corporate accounting from numerous corporate companies and industries, as well as many years of public accounting and private practices. As an entrepreneur and executive coach, Melanie has a reputation for communicating, educating and serving clients with ease. She gains a unique confidence with her clients through her inquisitive ability to draw out their best ideas and practices to design personalized objectives. After assessing and refining clients’ practical internal business systems for efficiencies, Melanie utilizes her expertise and ingenuity to integrate their best qualities back into the accounting/financial structures and technologies. By using these concepts, profits inherently become a natural byproduct of the process.
Education / Credentials
Born and raised in Connecticut, Melanie relocated to Southern California to attend Pasadena City College and California Polytechnic State University, where she dual majored in Mechanical Design Computer Aided Engineering and Accounting & Finance. Curiousity in entrepreneurial pursuit and future endeveours, Melanie finished her mastery at Business Management from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California in 1993.
To put herself through college, Melanie founded a successful Bookkeeping Business from 1983 to 1993 building a practice of diverse entrepreneurial clientele. From 1990 to 1997, she worked a wide range of job functions as Accountant, Controller, and Finance Executive for various companies and industries developing her commitment to serving others with excellence.
Melanie passed the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Exam in 1993, receiving a congratulations for her "Exceptional Accomplishment” earning her accreditation among the nation’s top 4%. She then obtained national recognition in 1995 for her CMA (Certified Managerial Accountant) accreditation from the International Institute of Management Accountants. She completed her extensive internship with the "Big Five" accounting firms, and earned her CPA license in 1997.
CCFO4U® / CFO4YOU® was founded in 1998. Melanie has been providing and packaging her skills and knowledge an transitioned Automated Accounting Coach for Entrepreneurs and Business Owners for the past 20 years. In 2014, she rounded out her skills and became a CHPC (Certified High Performance Coach). Melanie continues to thrive on learning and crafting her visionary prosperity models with the commitment to excellence and enhancing her services through new online platforms.
Personal
Melanie recently took an alturistic realignment her client base and to focus on her health and the well-being of her family, seizing the opportunity to reevaluate priorities from a new, more holistic, perspective. Through her many life experiences, she knows first hand the challenges of financial recovery. Today, grateful with excellent health and joyfilled spirit, Melanie brings an added dimension of empathy and compassion to her coaching. Her experience reaffirmed the founding concepts of CFO4U, evoking in other entrepreneurs, the courage to take an honest, fresh, new look at their own business ventures. Melanie is committed to life-time learning, and continues to seek, discover and share new ways to implement life/business balance techniques that compliment growth and prosperity. Melanie lives happily with her family in beautiful Westlake Village, California. She is active in the community, loves gourmet cooking and developing recipes, writing, hiking with friends, gardening, movie nights and family road trips…and especially...finding balance, humor and joy in ALL of life’s adventures!
